TLG’s - Annual General Meeting and Talk by Claire Anholt Duthuit “The Power of Place: - Why communities like ours are vital to global climate action"

  • Driftwood Cafe, Baptist Church, Lyme Regis, DT7 3NY United Kingdom (map)

Join Turn Lyme Green for a talk with Lyme Regis resident CLAIRE ANHOLT DUTHUIT who works at the heart of global climate action with the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions. Claire recently returned from COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and will soon be heading to COP30 in Belém — the gateway to the Brazilian Amazon.

Drawing on 20 years of experience amplifying the voices of local leaders, businesses, grassroots changemakers and civil society advocates around the world, Claire will share why ambitious action — including in towns just like Lyme Regis — is essential to tackling climate change.

From innovative solutions pioneered in Dhaka to the power of community leadership in Devon and Dorset, this is a chance to explore how local solutions connect directly to the global stage.

The talk will feature visuals from creative climate campaigns across the world, plus an interactive exercise to reveal that Lyme’s connection to global diplomacy is closer than you might think.

The talk will start at approx 7.30pm following the AGM which will start at 6.45pm.

Everyone is welcome to attend the AGM to hear the annual report and accounts. RSVP welcomed - enquiries@turnlymegreen.co.uk

FREE entry to AGM and Talk. Refreshments available.
